Apple has finally brought us the ability to delete individual calls from iPhone Recents call history in iOS 5. We have always wanted this feature on the iPhone since its release and in fact it is one of the many other reasons people jailbroken their iPhones.
We had covered the iOS 5 top ten features earlier this week, when Apple announced iOS 5 at WWDC 2011 but they weren’t all that Apple has up its sleeve this time for iOS 5. There are over 200 of them that developers around the world are discovering one by one.
We have already downloaded the iOS 5 on our devices and have been playing with the beta firmware for a few days now. To our surprise, Apple has included a lot many features which are going to eliminate reasons to jailbreak your devices.
One of them is the ability to clear individual calls from iPhone call history. There are two ways to delete individual calls. You can either swipe left of right on any call and tap on delete button or tap on the Edit button in top right corner and then delete one or more calls from the list.

And there’s also the ability to clear all at once just like iOS 4. To clear all recents just tap on Edit > Clear.

Earlier people used to install jailbreak utilities from Cydia like CallDelete to get this feature. However, you won’t be needing those any more on your iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS anymore once you install iOS 5 in the fall. iPhone 3G users will still be needing this since iOS 5 won’t be coming to them.
